How to configure which notifications you get

The app lets you know when a client requests an appointment, when someone on your team moves something in the calendar, or when the monthly report is ready. In the settings screen you choose whether this device receives push notifications and which types should still notify you.

Step 1 — Open the settings

From the menu, go to Notifications, then tap the gear icon at the top right of the header. The Notification settings screen opens. The back button takes you back to the notification list.

Step 2 — Choose whether this device gets push

The first card is called On this device and has a single switch: "Allow push notifications". Below it, a line explains why it matters: "This is how we let you know when something important happens in the app. We recommend keeping it on."

The switch applies only to the device in your hand: it does not follow your account to another phone and it does not survive a reinstall. When you turn it off, the device unsubscribes from push right away, but notifications keep collecting in the list in Notifications.

Step 3 — Choose the types that notify you

Below that come cards with notification types, grouped by what they do: Requests waiting for an answer, Changes made by clients, Changes made by the team, Daily and reports and Other (new types land here until they get a group of their own).

Each row has its own switch: on means you get push for that type. The change saves itself instantly — there is no save button — and applies to your account, so also to the other devices you are signed in on.

The list is not fixed: it shows the types the server already has a saved preference for on your account, plus the ones that have reached your list at least once. A card left with no rows is not shown at all.

A few types have no switch, on purpose, and you won't find them in the list: our own announcements about the app — "New version" and "New feature" — which you cannot turn off, and "Appointment changed", turned off for everyone for now. Don't look for them here.

Step 4 — The summary row

In Changes made by the team you'll find the row "Group similar notifications", with the explanation: "E.g. "Maria deleted 5 appointments" - one summary, not 5 notifications." When the same colleague makes several changes at once, you get a single alert with the total, instead of a string of notifications.

Mind what the switch actually does, because its name promises more: the grouping happens anyway, no matter how you set it. The row only cuts the push for the resulting summary. If you turn it off, you don't get the changes one by one — those are never written.

Step 5 — The notes that appear above the cards

Sometimes, between the device card and the type cards — or on its own, when there is nothing to show — a note appears:

  • "Settings have not been loaded from the server yet. The values below are the defaults." — the settings are still on their way from the server; wait

a few seconds and the switches settle on their real values.

  • "Push is off for this account, so the settings below have no effect for now." — push is turned off at account level. The choices below

still save, but no push goes out while it stays that way, and it can't be turned back on from this screen.

  • "There are no notification types to configure for this account yet." — a new account, with no notifications yet; the cards appear as the

first ones arrive. Only this one stands alone on the screen; the other two sit above the switches, which remain visible and tappable.

Optional: if you want quiet on this phone without missing anything, turn off the switch in On this device and leave the types on — the list in Notifications stays complete and you can read it when you have time.
