The app has six color themes and two display modes, light and dark. You choose once, and the colors apply everywhere: header, buttons, calendar. The two choices are independent — any theme works in both light and dark.
Step 1 — Open the themes screen
Go to Settings, tap Interface & Language Settings, then, under the Choose color scheme heading, tap the row showing two color pills and the name of the theme currently in use. This opens the themes screen, with the same title. (The language is changed from here too, in the section above — see the "How to change the language and theme" tutorial.)
Step 2 — Choose the display mode
At the top, under Display mode, tap Light or Dark. The colored pill slides to the tapped tab right away, but the app's colors don't change yet: your choice stays pending until you leave the screen.
Step 3 — Choose the color theme
Under Colour theme you'll find the six themes, two per row, in this order: Classic, Peony, Ocean, Forest, Lavender, Graphite. Each one is drawn as a miniature app — a header with the theme's name, a thin line in the secondary color underneath, and a button in the accent color — so you can see the colors in the exact roles they'll play. Tap the one you want and the colored frame moves to it immediately.
Step 4 — Leave the screen to apply
Tap the Back arrow in the top left corner. If you changed the theme or the mode, the app restarts briefly, showing the startup screen, and drops you into the calendar, on the main screen, with the new look — you don't go back to settings. If you didn't change anything, you return straight to Interface & Language Settings.
Optional: Graphite is the only theme with a dark header, even in Light mode — pick it if you want a sober look without switching the whole screen to dark.
